Security Associates of Coastal Georgia is always on the lookout for great talent. In order to be considered to work with our company certain requirements and qualifications must be met. 

Qualifications
  • At least 21 years old.
  • A U.S. citizen or registered resident alien.
  • High school diploma or have equivalent G.E.D.
  • Drug-free and have no criminal or felony record.
  • Must successfully complete Georgia Mandate Security Training.
  • Must be able to communicate in English and possess reading and writing skills.
  • Must be able to work all shifts. Must have dependable transportation.
  • Must be customer service oriented. Must be computer literate.
  • Must have a cell phone and an email address for scheduling requirements.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be physically able to perform routine duties to secure premises.
  • Must be able to perform routine tasks such as standing and walking for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 5 to 10 lbs.
Background Checks

Background checks are required for employment at Security Associates of Coastal Georgia. Note: Security Officer cannot have a misdemeanor record that relates to theft, assault or any crime of violence. A background check must be completed upon acceptance of employment at Security Associates of Coastal Georgia from the Savannah Police Department or the following police departments.

Thunderbolt Police Department

Only does background checks on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Hinesville Police Department

There is a $20 charge by the respective police departments for background checks. This must be paid by the applicant for this service. Background check printouts must be returned to Security Associates of Coastal Georgia in order to continue processing new hire paperwork.

Drug Test

A mandatory drug test is required of all successful applicants in order to become an employee of Security Associates of Coastal Georgia. Drug tests will be administered on site at the Security Associates of Coastal Georgia offices.

Uniform and Appearance

Security Associates of Coastal Georgia employees must maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times during scheduled shift hours. Proper and clean Security Associates of Coastal Georgia uniforms must be worn at all times during scheduled shift hours.

Security Associates of Coastal Georgia employees must not have visible tattoos during scheduled shift hours. Any tattoos must be able to be hidden by the uniform in order to maintain a professional appearance at job sites. Employees must maintain neat, clean and maintained hairstyles in a natural color.

Additional requirements for uniforms and appearance also apply and will be discussed with successful applicants at the mandatory new employee orientation.

Shifts & Locations

Security Associates of Coastal Georgia maintains core clients and special event clients with day, evening, and overnight shifts seven days a week in Savannah, Chatham County, and surrounding cities and counties. Reliable transportation to and from assigned job sites is one of the qualifications of being an SACG Security Officer professional.

New Hire Orientation

New employees, after successfully completing a background check and drug test, must attend a mandatory new employee orientation prior to being added to the schedule. 

SACG staff will schedule successful applicants for one of weekly orientations on a Friday or a Saturday.  Additional Security Officer Trainings will be mandatory as well, and will be scheduled accordingly. 

Information on these will be provided in the Employee Handbook once an applicant has been hired.
